The new Rolls Royce Phantom VIII 2018 will be unveiled tonight

The next-generation Rolls Royce is widely-tipped to push the boundaries of bespoke luxury.

Phantom is arguably in a class of its own when it comes to luxury automobiles and the brand has challenged perceptions since it was first introduced back in 1925.

This latest generation follows the VII, which was introduced 14 years ago.

In January, the , as we know it, rolled out of factory after 13 years in production.

At the time, the car manufacturer said the vehicles’ replacement would be an “all-new aluminium architecture of luxury” that will “advance standards set by its forbearers”.

Torsten Müller-Ötvös, Chief Executive Officer, Rolls-Royce Motor Cars said at a press event yesterday that creating Phantom VIII was a pursuit for “perfection.”

He said: “We are constantly evolving and our ethos is to strive for perfection in everything we do.

“I think you need to question yourself constantly when you are in that position.

The CEO also stated that the will be better connected and equipped than ever before.

“Phantom [VIII] is the most up to date technology driven Rolls Royce we have ever done in history so far.”

“This Phantom is a pleasure for all your senses. It is impossible to beat and there are no others around who can deliver similar things.”

Bespoke design and engineering is the cornerstone for Rolls Royce when developing their cars, with the new flagship Phantom expected to be a perfect example of that.

The car manufacturer said that “A Rolls Royce is never a compromise” and when it came to personalisation, “you’re imagination is our only limit” and that “something that’s only we [Rolls Royce] can offer”.

“You as a customer wants to ensure that the car is hugely individual, what matters at the end of the day is creating individual masterpieces.”

The result of this all-new aluminium architecture will be revealed tonight at the Great Eight Phantoms exhibition event at Bonhams, Mayfair.

Special edition versions of every iteration of the Phantom will be on display at the event including

The design has been kept tightly under wraps – with only a few teaser photographs offering a glimpse at the car’s design.

A small insight into what the car’s interior will look like

More than likely Rolls Royce will opt for an evolutionary upgrade as opposed to revolutionary.

We expect that the car will share a lot of the same DNA as the Phantom VII with a few nips, tucks and frills to freshen up the exterior.

From the teaser images the car retains its signature grille, albeit a slightly refined version.

Powering the new Phantom is also expected to be aversion of the  6.75-litre naturally-aspirated V12 Rolls-Royce engine featured on the VII.

It will also more than likely be built with an all-aluminium shell.

Much is the case with Rolls Royce, it is inside the car where the brand truly shine.

Phantom VIII is expected to have unrivalled levels of luxury interior and bespoke design, with endless personalisation option.

Rolls Royce will be streaming the live unveiling of the Phantom tonight from 9pm BST here.
